Amargosa is a small farming community which has been spread over a very large valley. In some areas the land has been transformed from desert into fertile land full of growing crops and in others the land is still barren except the tumble weeds which grow in vast quantities. Neighbors are few and far in between and some people even travel the better part of a mile before seeing any houses.

          The highlight of the Amargosa Valley is the Amargosa Sand Dunes. They are located in the center of the valley and attract visitors of all kinds. Some have even called it, "an outdoorman's delight." It is a popular place to go motor-bike riding.
